EGC just wrapped up our first writing contest.

We asked for up to 200 words of punchy, eerie fiction based on this prompt:

Write 200 words of fiction that take place in your favorite part of Seattle. Be specific. Show us the city breathing. Take us into the dark corners and poke at what lies under the sparkling sea. There should be at least a hint of the supernatural/paranormal included in your story.

The winner will be announced on July 17, and will get to choose their favorite Oregon, Washington, or British Columbia town to serve as the setting of an upcoming story!

All stories will be considered for publication, though we don’t guarantee that any of the stories (even the winning one) will be published in the magazine.
