Get ready for a new horror fiction magazine dedicated to ghosts, monsters, and the call of the Pacific Ocean!

At Emerald City Ghosts, not all of our stories take place in the Pacific Northwest—but we do have a special place in our hearts for the rain, the gloom, and the way that the dew on the evergreens sparkles in the pale morning sun.

We love the cold slime of the banana slugs oozing along the forest floor. We love the way that every house on the coast feels haunted by shifting sea mist and creaking floorboards and the wind whistling through cracks in windows. We love our inky woods with blackberry brambles so thick we can’t see beyond the first few feet of forest.

Emerald City Ghosts was created primarily for two groups of people:

If you’ve spent any amount of time writing and marketing your work on the internet, you know how hard it is to connect with the right audience. You can be the best writer in the world, and it’s still difficult find your people. Here at Emerald City Ghosts, we love new and indie authors—the bookstagrammers, the poets Tweeting out their poems one line at a time, and the storytellers sending their words out into the void.
